About · Tongaat · 3 June 2024
Restore Africa Foundation is a registered non-profit company (NPC) investing in our nation's future — our children.
Restore Africa Foundation began with a community response to the devastating tornado that struck Tongaat, KwaZulu-Natal, on 3 June 2024.
Moved by his faith and the needs of affected families, founder Eduard Louw brought together volunteers, businesses and community partners through Operation Clean Tongaat. What began as clearing debris soon grew into Operation Restore Tongaat, supporting the rebuilding of damaged early childhood development centres and helping communities recover.
As the work continued, it became clear that the need extended beyond disaster relief. Restore Africa Foundation was established to carry that commitment forward, building partnerships that help communities create safer, healthier and more sustainable futures.
Today, our work includes Safety4Kids, Veggies4Kids, Water Safety4Kids and Feed-a-Child, supporting children through practical safety resources, food gardens, water safety awareness and nutritious meals.
From the beginning, our purpose has remained the same: “Helping those who need a little help to help themselves.”
The foundation also supports the fight against gender-based violence. It does not publish a separate programme page for that support.

These are not testimonials from other people. They are the foundation’s own words, from its introduction and its posters.
