Donate

An EFT, a reference, and proof of payment.

Gifts support the foundation’s programmes, including nutritious Feed-a-Child meals. This page explains the steps. It does not take a card payment.

From gift to breakfast

How a donation becomes a meal

  1. Donor gives

You pay by EFT and use the reference on the banking card.

  2. Thank-you or receipt

The foundation confirms the gift and sends a thank-you or a receipt.

  3. Ordered from Big Five Foods (opens in a new tab)

Food is ordered from Big Five Foods.

  4. Tracked on SupplierAdvisor® (opens in a new tab)

The order and the delivery are tracked and traced on SupplierAdvisor®.

  5. Delivered to ECD centres

Meals are delivered to the ECD centres.

  6. A fortified breakfast

    Children receive a fortified breakfast.

  7. Impact reported

What was published comes back on the meal counter or in News & Stories.

This is the path of a gift. It does not add a meal count. Published figures stay on the meal counter and in News & Stories.

Tracked on SupplierAdvisor®

From your donation to a child’s breakfast: tracked on SupplierAdvisor®

SupplierAdvisor® (opens in a new tab) is the supply-chain record for the order. The steps below follow what that platform publishes: purchase orders move Draft, Sent, Accept, Deliver and Rate; shipments can carry live events; invoices sit on the same books as the order. Where a detail is not spelled out for every delivery, the wording stays general.

  1. The donor pays the foundation by EFT and uses the reference. That payment is not itself an order on SupplierAdvisor®.

    • Restore Africa Foundation
  2. The foundation raises a purchase order on SupplierAdvisor®. The platform describes that order moving from Draft to Sent.

    • SupplierAdvisor®
  3. Big Five Foods accepts the purchase order. SupplierAdvisor® shows Accept as a state both sides of the order share.

    • Big Five Foods
    • SupplierAdvisor®
  4. Big Five Foods produces and fulfils the order. SupplierAdvisor® places make and ship in the same loop, and its operations view includes picking before goods leave.

    • Big Five Foods
    • SupplierAdvisor®
  5. The journey is followed with live shipment events. SupplierAdvisor® also describes fleet and driver visibility, and an operations view from the purchase order through to delivery.

    • Logistics
    • SupplierAdvisor®
  6. The purchase order moves to Deliver, and the meals arrive at the ECD centre. Shipment events record the journey on the order.

  7. The invoice sits on the same books as the purchase order. That is how SupplierAdvisor® describes the commercial trail.

  8. Children receive a fortified breakfast. The foundation reports what it has published, on the meal counter and in News & Stories.

SupplierAdvisor® publishes those purchase-order states, live shipment events, and invoices on the same books. Proof of delivery is named on its public-sector school pathway, not claimed here for every ECD centre. After delivery it also describes a score for on-time, in-full and error-free. No score for this foundation is shown on this page. Donors read the foundation’s own report on the meal counter and in News & Stories.

Choose an amount, or sponsor meals

Pick a suggested gift, enter your own amount in rand, or say how many Feed-a-Child breakfasts you want to sponsor. Suggestions use about R1.35 per meal (Big Five Foods) as a guide — approximate, not a fixed price list.

  2. 02

    Pay by EFT

Transfer the money to the account on the banking card, or scan the FNB Scan to Pay QR code with your banking app. This website does not take card payments, instant EFT, or cash.

Send the proof to Eduard Louw, with your name, the amount, the reference you used, and whether the gift is a general donation or sponsored meals. Attach the proof in your email app. This website cannot take the attachment.

  5. 05

    Receive a thank-you or a receipt

The foundation replies with a thank-you or a receipt. To request a Section 18A tax certificate issued by The Domino Foundation, email your details after donating.

Impact

What your gift does

Every rand goes further than you might think. Feed-a-Child breakfasts use Big Five Foods products at about R1.35 per meal — approximately — so a modest gift can cover many mornings for a child.

  • about R1.35

feeds a child one meal (Big Five Foods)

  • about R9.45

feeds a child for a week (7 meals)

  • about R40

feeds a child for a month (30 meals)

Sponsor meals

How a food gift is followed
