111,000 skips. 12 hours. So no child skips breakfast.
Some ideas make you smile first, then make you think. This is one of them.
On Saturday 12 December 2026, Tim Fitzgerald will attempt a world record: skipping for 12 hours straight, about 111,000 skips, to raise meals for children, so they don't have to skip breakfast.
He skips, so a child doesn't skip breakfast.
At Hollywoodbets Kings Park, before the Sharks game
The attempt takes place at Hollywoodbets Kings Park, the home of the Sharks, before the Sharks take on the Scarlets in the EPCR Challenge Cup. East Coast Radio will be presenting live from the stadium from 2pm to 6pm, the window when we hope Tim will break the record.
The meals
The meals raised will be Big Five Foods fortified porridges and OnePot meals, and some of them will be sponsored by the Hollywood Foundation.
At Restore Africa Foundation, our goal is to help every young child start the day with a nutritious breakfast. We are proud to be a partner in this collaboration with The Sharks, A Heart to Help, HELU, Big Five Foods and Tim himself. When a stadium, a radio station, a foundation and a few determined people pull in the same direction, a breakfast stops being a hope and becomes a plate in front of a child.

How you can help
Mark the date. If you're heading to the game, come early and cheer every skip. If you can't be there, tune in to East Coast Radio between 2pm and 6pm.
And if you would like to help put breakfast in front of a child, you can give to Restore Africa Foundation today.
