Helping children learn, flourish and grow in safer environments.
Through Safety4Kids, Restore Africa Foundation equips Early Childhood Development Centres (ECDs) with Regulation 3 first aid kits, fire blankets and fire extinguishers, coupled with basic first aid and firefighting training for the adults caring for children.
Training is provided through the support of IPSS Medical Rescue, IPSS Search and Rescue, and the KwaDukuza Fire Department. To date, we have completed the initiative at 54 ECD centres.
Our purpose is to help create safer learning environments where children can flourish. Supporting the people who care for them means providing both useful equipment and opportunities to learn practical safety skills.

Practical safety training
Practical sessions introduce ECD staff and caregivers to first aid equipment and basic response skills, helping them feel better prepared when a child needs assistance.

Tools, skills and confidence
What Safety4Kids provides:
- Regulation 3 first aid kits to equip centres with first aid supplies.
- Fire blankets and fire extinguishers as part of their safety equipment.
- Basic first aid and firefighting training to accompany the equipment.

Equipment and practical learning belong together. Our approach helps the adults responsible for young children become more familiar with the tools available to them and more confident about their role in an emergency.
We are grateful to the donors, trainers and participating centres who make this work possible.
Our shared responsibility
Every child deserves nutritious food and a safe place to learn. At Restore Africa Foundation, we believe these needs are equally important. Children rely on us to build environments where they are fed, protected and cared for.
They are the building blocks of our nation and the future leaders of our beautiful South Africa. They also deserve our care today, simply because they are children. Safety4Kids is one way we take that shared responsibility seriously.
Thank you to our training partners: IPSS Medical Rescue, IPSS Search and Rescue, and the KwaDukuza Fire Department, for sharing your time and skills to help protect our children.
Support safety equipment or partner with Restore Africa Foundation to extend Safety4Kids to more ECD centres.
